World Autism Awareness: Peer Art Workshop

In celebration of World Autism Month, join artists with autism from around the world in creating art together! Hosted by Center for All Abilities at Chatham Square Library in Chinatown, NYC, bring your own art materials to present your style of art in live art demonstrations with peers with autism from around the world.

 
 

BRING YOUR OWN MATERIALS

Artists will be sharing their art demonstrations in the library's Community Room. To be mindful and respectful of the space provided, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

  • Please bring materials that make as little mess as possible.

  • If you need tablecloths, let us know in your RSVP.

  • For safety purposes, any materials that are toxic to inhale or touch (such as resin) or sharp materials (such as Xacto knives), are NOT permitted during the workshop.

  • Our goal is to leave the room as we found it, so please be prepared to take everything with you when you leave.

  • All art demonstrations must be completed strictly by 5:15PM. Time reminders will be provided by event staff.

PROGRAM

  • 4:00 - 4:15PM: Welcome and introductions

  • 4:15 - 5:15PM: Peer art demonstrations

  • 5:15 - 5:45PM: Mingle over dim sum refreshments and tea

This is a free event. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Maximum 40 participants. Please RSVP using the form below. You will receive and email confirming your RSVP.
